Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 3 pm to 7 pm, Millville Recreation will host its second block party of the summer season. Emcee and producer of this year's show is local radio and tv personality, Corky Warren, who also produces, Corky's Time Machine. This years event will open with the Angeltones. They are a four member, all female doo wop group located out of central New Jersey, performing songs from the 50's up to the 70's. With their distinctive styles, the Angletones leave audiences feeling invigorated, nostalgic and wanting more from this most sought after female vocal group.

Next on board will be the Emeralds. Bobby Burgese and his group have been singing acappella for many years in Philly and the surrounding areas. The Emeralds legacy today builds to new heights with accomplished singers who all have a track record of hits, both local and national.

Danny and the Juniors will be headlining the all dance musical production. With the success of At The Hop, Danny and the Juniors have a gold record. The song quickly became a monumental hit on five continents reaching #1 on the pop, country and rhythm and blues charts. It stands today as the #23 all time biggest record according to Billboard magazine list of #1 hits. Now in their fifth decade as performers, the group still appears at a multitude of venues including conventions, theatres, clubs, casinos, fairs and festivals. Their wholesome fun loving stage show is embellished with comedy, impressions, bright costumes and audience participation.

It will be a free concert and the entire family is invited to attend this popular attraction at Millville's Riverfront Park at Buck & Main Streets. In addition to the afternoon of continuous music, food vendors will be on hand selling a variety of great food, which include, cheese steaks, fries, funnel cake, pizza plus many other items.

This years show is being made possible by funding from the Urban Enterprise Zone, and is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable of the three planned block parties. The end of the summer block party will be on Saturday, September 12^th at the same location.
