County Mosquito Control
Purpose As required by law, the Cumberland County Department of Public Works Mosquito Control Division has established this information for the benefit of the public at large in order to provide advance notice of the division's mosquito spraying activities. Legal Notice In compliance with Section 9.8 of the New Jersey Pesticide Control Code (N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30), NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cumberland County Department of Public Works Mosquito Control Division will be applying insecticides for the control of adult mosquito populations on an area-wide basis, as needed, throughout Cumberland County during the period from May 1, 2002 through October 31, 2002. The insecticide(s) to be used are Malathion (active ingredients 0,0 dimethyl phosphorodithioate of Diethyl mercaptosuccinate) or Scourge (active ingredients resmethrin, piperonylbutoxide, and aromatic petroleum solvent) applied by aircraft and/or ground equipment, ie: truck mounted low volume Mist Blower or ultra low volume liquid application.
