CLUB 21

In partnership with Commercial Township Schools and Cumberland County Empowerment Zone, Millville Public Schools was awarded a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant to serve over 200, 4th and 5th graders at Haleyville-Mauricetown, Holly Heights, Mt. Pleasant, Rieck Avenue, RM Bacon, Silver Run Elementary Schools, and 6th through 8th graders at Lakeside Middle School. The after-school and summer program is known as CLUB 21.

Vision Statement:
Students should have access to a high-quality out-of-school time experience.

Mission Statement:
The mission of Club 21 is to:

  • Provide high-quality educational and enrichment programs that enable participants to improve academic achievement, promote positive behavior, and appropriate social interaction with peers and adults.
  • Implement activities that promote parental involvement and provide opportunities for educational development for families of participating students.

All schools include academic, social, emotional, and physical activities. All schools will focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). We will continue present partnerships and collaborations. This project was funded in its entirety with the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by No Child Left Behind, Title IV, Part B, 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grant funds through a grant agreement with the New Jersey Department of Education.
