We at R. D. Wood School pride ourselves on serving our students and families. The skills we focus to instill in your child are to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Helpful and to Be Safe. This is part of our school wide discipline program which teaches children to learn positive social skills so they will be successful in life.
I provide individual/ group counseling services to all the students and families as needed and requested. I also am available to work with parents, teachers and Child Study Team members. I like to share additional information with parents/guardians in need of psychotherapy/psychiatric services for their children, as well as, community outreach programs including food pantry information.
My office also works with the following teams to provide services to your children:
- PBIS (Positive Behavior Instructional Support) Team
- I&RS (Intervention and Referral Service) Team
- 504 Plan Team
- Anti Bully/Safety Team
- Child Study Team
I support the development of positive relationships and skill sets through the following mentoring programs:
- Big Buddy/ Little Buddy
- Big Brothers/Big Sisters
In Addition to the other areas of support, I am also responsible to the preparation, administration and data collection of the PARCC exam for grades 3 – 5 and the NJ ASK Science grade4.
