Employee Attendance Information
 
Please refer to your contract for your annual allowance of sick, vacation, and/or personal days.
 
Please take note of the following:
  • Sick Days: Any employee that is out sick for 4 or more consecutive days must submit doctor's note to Human Resources on the 5th day
  • Illness in Family:
    • MEA: Full-time employees only are granted 2 days for family illness each year
    • MAA/MSSA/BMW/COEA: Employees are granted 3 days for family illness each year
    • Please contact your bargaining unit representative with any questions!
  • Personal Days: Full-time employees only are granted 2 personal days each year
  • Jury Duty: Any employee called to serve jury duty must submit the notice to Human Resources promptly after serving
  • Death in Immediate Family:
    • MEA: Full-time Employees only are granted 2 days for a death in the immediate family (grandparent, parent, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, in-laws or other relatives that live with the employee)
    • MAA/MSSA/BMW/COEA: Employees are granted 3 days for a death in the immediate family (grandparent, parent, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, in-laws or other relatives that live with the employee)
    • Please contact your bargaining unit representative with any questions!
  • Leave of Absence: Any employee that needs to take a leave of absence must call or email Human Resources for direction. A leave of absence is anything longer than 10 days and should be reported 30 days prior.
