AVID

What is AVID?

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination.

At Lakeside Middle School and Millville High School, we offer the AVID elective course to students. This is a competitive program that is scaffolded to introduce college-level skills at the middle school level and reinforce them at the high school level. Students learn the importance of consistency, focus, organization, and self-management. The ultimate goal of the AVID program is to create a path to college and career success for all students.
