Millville High School Vocal Music Program
Find your voice and share it with the world through the Millville High School Vocal Program! With opportunities ranging from introductory singing classes to advanced performance ensembles, students of all levels can develop their vocal skills, grow in confidence, and experience the joy of live performance.
🎹 Music Appreciation (Level 1) – No experience required! Learn the fundamentals of music, explore different genres, try multiple instruments, and gain an understanding of music history and technology.
🎹 Music Theory 1 & AP Music Theory (Levels 2 & 3) – Develop ear training, sight-reading, composition, and advanced analysis skills, including practical applications for writing and arranging music.
🎤 Voice Studio (Level 1) – Open to all students, this course introduces proper singing technique across a variety of styles. Students perform in class and in one evening concert.
🎼 Choral Workshop (Level 2) – By audition or recommendation, students expand their vocal training through music in multiple styles and languages, with several required concerts.
🎼 Select Chorus (Level 2) – For grades 10–12, this auditioned ensemble offers advanced choral opportunities and multiple public performances each year.
🎼 Concert Chorale (Level 3) – An auditioned ensemble open to all grades, performing in a variety of styles and languages across three concerts each year.
🎼 Chamber Choir (Level 4) – The premier auditioned vocal ensemble at MHS, Chamber Choir performs at school concerts and community events, offering students advanced training in choral literature and performance.
🎧 Sound Engineering (Level 1) – Students get hands-on experience with recording, editing, mixing, and running sound for live productions using industry-standard technology.
