What is the Afterschool Snack Program?

The Afterschool Snack Program (ASP) became an official part of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) on October 1, 1998. The ASP provides snacks to children participating in eligible programs after their regular school day is completed.

 

What is CACFP?
CACFP is the Child and Adult Care Food Program. It is a Federal program that pays for healthy afterschool meals The Dinner Program makes afterschool programs more appealing to at-risk children and youth. Serving afterschool meals and snacks attracts students to learning activities that are safe and fun.
