Free Meals for All Students (CEP)

Millville Public Schools participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which guarantees that all enrolled students receive free breakfast and lunch during the school year, regardless of household income.

Why Every Household Must Fill Out the Application Annually

Even though meals are free for all students during the school year, we ask that every family complete the School Meals & Summer EBT Application every year. Filling out this single form directly benefits your child, our schools, and our community:

• Accurate Funding & Reporting: Complete forms ensure we report accurate data to the state, which directly secures the essential state funding and educational resources necessary for overall student success.

• Summer Benefits: This single form serves as your official application for Summer EBT, ensuring your family can access extra meal assistance during summer break.

• Program Sustainability: High participation rates help us maintain our free meal program for all Millville students over the long term.

Summer EBT Benefits (S-EBT)

CEP provides free school-year meals, but it does not automatically grant Summer EBT benefits.

Who receives Summer EBT automatically?

Your child will automatically receive Summer EBT if your household participates in:

• SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)

• TANF (Work First NJ)

• NJ FamilyCare (income-based Medicaid)

• Children who are experiencing homelessness, identified as migrant, or in foster care.

Who must apply via the annual form?

If your child does not fall into one of the automatic categories above, you must complete the annual application to determine your eligibility. Income-based eligibility is set at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.
